Pij svůj čaj

                       Pij svůj čaj pomalu a s úctou,
                              jako kdyby to byla osa,
                             kolem které se točí svět
                         - pomalu, vyrovnaně, beze
                              spěchu v budoucnost;
                                          Žij teď.
                        Jen tento okamžik je život.

                  Drink your tea slowly and reverently,
                                 as if it is the axis
                    on which the world earth revolves
                          - slowly, evenly, without
                        rushing toward the future;
                          Live the actual moment.

In Lakewood that weekend, three boys

and the family that believed, slept anyway,

not good enough. What now has fallen

on their heads, this mamma and poppa,
like all mammas and poppas who protect

their children and hold their hands up
to fend off the falling mountain of sky

and the world so tumblingly fertile
that it makes the head spin? As if each

of us were at the center of the earth,
the axis around which it all revolves.

Imagine your arms and legs extended,
the world depending on you, but you

know you’re inadequate every waking
minute and week and month and year

and millennium, and how you try so hard
until at last you can’t help but fall asleep.

Jen tento okamžik je život.

jo jo, tímhle se tak umět řídit, tak člověk má víc klidu, nemusel by furt hloubat, co bude nebude, ono to možná i jde, ale ne neustále, sem tam se musí nějaká činnost promyslet, jak dopane, čili ta budoucnost má drápky už v dnešku... chca nechca...
